Overview

Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae is an excellent ATK-scaling shielder/support who combines strong passive sustain with offensive buffs. He is especially valuable for ATK-based hypercarries.

Role

Sustain / Shielder / Carry Support

Playstyle

Choose your main DPS as the Bondmate, establish the shield, then mostly use Basic ATKs. Souldragon handles much of the shielding automatically while the Bondmate attacks to advance its turns.

Why It Works

Both his shields and Bondmate buff scale from Dan Heng's ATK, so one stat improves his sustain and support simultaneously. Frequent Bondmate attacks also give him Energy and advance Souldragon.

Watch For

He loses offensive value with non-ATK-scaling carries. Also make sure the correct DPS is selected as Bondmate, since Souldragon disappears if Dan Heng or the Bondmate is defeated.

Playstyle

Combat Flow

Technique → Skill on carry → Basic ATKs → Bondmate attacks → Souldragon shields/cleanses → Ultimate → enhanced Souldragon → repeat.

Key Notes

  • Build enough ATK for the actual incoming damage and tune SPD for the team. Bondmate attack frequency also supplies Energy and Souldragon advances, so a universal SPD or ATK target would hide important composition differences.

  • Bondmate gains ATK based on Dan Heng's ATK.

  • Do not build DEF as though it scaled his shields; these shields scale from ATK.

  • Do not expect ordinary Souldragon actions to deal damage. Ultimate must enhance it first.

Build & Investment

Light Cones

Primary

Though Worlds Apart

Its ATK increases shield strength and the Bondmate buff; Ultimate also provides team healing and a damage bonus.

Alternative

Journey, Forever Peaceful

Improves shield effect and gives shielded allies a damage bonus. This is a paid Battle Pass option, not an F2P acquisition.

Alternative

Day One of My New Life

General defensive fallback when team durability matters more than personal scaling.

Relics

Planars

Primary

Lushaka, the Sunken Seas

Increases Energy Regeneration Rate. Put the Bondmate first and Dan Heng elsewhere to grant that first-slot ally ATK.

Alternative

City of Converging Stars

Enhanced Souldragon follow-ups activate its temporary ATK bonus. A defeated enemy enables the non-stacking team CRIT DMG bonus. Neither effect depends on team position.

Main Stats

Body

  • ATK%

Directly improves his ATK-scaling shield and support.

Feet

  • SPD
  • AlternativeATK%

Preferred for timely shield refreshes and SP generation.

Stronger raw shield alternative if turn order is already solved.

Sphere

  • ATK%

Default sphere for shield scaling.

Rope

  • Energy Regeneration Rate
  • AlternativeATK%

Preferred for reliable Ultimate cadence.

Raw-shield alternative in rotations with enough energy.

Recommended Substats

  1. SPD
  2. ATK%
  3. ATK
  4. Effect RES

Tune SPD for the team's setup and refresh plan, then build ATK for shields and the Bondmate buff. Flat ATK also contributes to that scaling; Effect RES improves reliability. Extra SPD beyond the plan is optional. DEF helps personal survival but does not scale these shields.

Eidolon Investment

E0 already shields, cleanses and supports a Bondmate. E1 adds a Skill Point and RES PEN on Ultimate. E2 increases enhanced Souldragon coverage and immediately advances it, so its value depends on using those enhanced actions rather than merely collecting a larger shield.

Though Worlds Apart increases ATK, adds team healing on Ultimate and grants a damage bonus with an extra benefit for allies that have summons. The healing is a cone effect, not part of his unequipped base kit. Consider whether that recovery is needed alongside shield strength.

E1

Ultimate restores one Skill Point and grants the Bondmate 18% All-Type RES PEN for three turns. This improves the chosen carry's window and team resources.

E2

Adds two enhanced Souldragon actions and advances it by 100% after Ultimate. Its enhanced-action Additional DMG and shield become 200% of their original values; this is not a doubling of all team damage.

E4

Reduces the Bondmate's damage taken by 20%. The protection is specific to the Bondmate, not every ally.

E6

While the Bondmate is present, enemies take 20% more damage and that Bondmate ignores 12% DEF. Dan Heng's Ultimate also causes Additional DMG based on the Bondmate's ATK.

Teams

Sunday

Action support. Sunday can advance the Bondmate and its Souldragon together. Target the chosen carry for that interaction; advancing Dan Heng himself is a different action plan. Ensure the carry can afford the resulting turns.

Archer

Skill-chain carry. Archer benefits from the ATK buff and can feed Souldragon through repeated attacks. Dan Heng's Basic-heavy sustain loop leaves more Skill Points available, provided shields do not demand extra refreshes.

Feixiao

Frequent-attacking carry. Feixiao benefits from ATK and supplies repeated Bondmate attacks. Souldragon contributes attacks for her resource only while enhanced; its ordinary shield-and-cleanse action is not an attack.

Ashveil

Follow-up carry. Ashveil benefits from the ATK buff and repeatedly attacks his Bait target. Enhanced Souldragon's attack can contribute to those team-attack interactions; maintain Bait and do not treat an unenhanced shield action as a hit.
