Overview

Aventurine • Waveflair turns allied attacks into Fervor and Quantum Elation damage. He can join an Elation team or operate as its only Elation character, where his Elation Skill also becomes a follow-up attack.

Role

Quantum Elation damage dealer; not a shield provider.

Playstyle

Use his Skill to build resources and refresh the ally-trigger allowance, then carry Fervor into the next enhanced Elation Skill.

Why It Works

Teammate attacks feed both Fervor and Punchline.

His Ultimate supplies Fervor and a lasting SPD buff; his trace converts SPD into Elation.

Watch For

Adding another Elation character switches his team bonus and removes the follow-up classification.

Repeated Skills need a team that can keep up with his Skill Point use.

Playstyle

Combat Flow

Begin with his Technique when available. Use Skill to gain Fervor and Punchline, then let teammates attack to reach the Talent trigger. The next Elation Skill inside an Aha Instant becomes enhanced and consumes Fervor for extra hits. Use Ultimate for its resources and SPD buff; keep enough Skill Points to refresh Skill and its ally-trigger allowance.

Key Notes

  • At E0, reaching 10 Fervor triggers the unenhanced Elation Skill. The next enhanced Aha-Instant use consumes the stored Fervor.

  • Sift Through Gilded Dreams grants extra Fervor after teammate Basic ATKs, Skills, follow-up attacks or Ultimates, up to six triggers before his Skill resets the allowance.

  • His solo-Elation trace supplies Certified Banger and accelerates Aha after teammate attacks; the multi-Elation branch instead grants Elation.

  • Do not build DEF as though he were the original Preservation Aventurine.

  • Do not add an Elation support while expecting his Elation Skill to retain its follow-up classification.

  • Leave Skill Points available for him to refresh his Skill.

Build & Investment

Light Cones

Primary

Summer Rides the Surf

His signature supports the normal-to-enhanced Elation Skill sequence: it supplies CRIT Rate, activates SPD after an Elation Skill, and adds Elation when the skill differs from the previous one. Its periodic Skill Point return helps fund repeated Skills.

Alternative

Today's Good Luck

CRIT Rate and stacking Elation support his damage without changing the team condition. This is the paid Battle Pass option, not a free replacement.

F2P

Mushy Shroomy's Adventures

Provides Elation and increases enemies’ Elation DMG taken after he uses an Elation Skill. It remains an option without pulling a limited Light Cone.

Relics

Primary

Ever-Glorious Magical Girl

The four-piece effect applies DEF ignore to Elation damage and gains additional stacks from accumulated allied Punchline. Its CRIT DMG also contributes to his build.

Planars

Primary

Punklorde Stage Zero

Supplies Elation and unlocks CRIT DMG as his Elation reaches the set’s thresholds. His SPD-conversion trace helps meet those conditions.

Choose the sphere with stronger SPD and CRIT substats; this is a survivability main stat.

Recommended Substats

  1. SPD
  2. CRIT Rate
  3. CRIT DMG

SPD supports both action frequency and the native Elation conversion. Balance CRIT Rate against the CRIT DMG already supplied by his traces and team; stop adding CRIT Rate that would be wasted in combat. No universal SPD target is asserted here.

Eidolon Investment

E0 already contains both team branches. The evidence reviewed here does not establish one universal Eidolon-versus-signature spending order.

Summer Rides the Surf eases SPD and CRIT requirements and returns Skill Points. Compare that utility with the extra Fervor triggers from early Eidolons in the team you actually use.

E1

Adds RES PEN and repeats the unenhanced Elation Skill at the 20- and 30-Fervor thresholds. Its additional triggers depend on generating enough Fervor before it is consumed.

E2

Raises the Fervor cap to 50, adds triggers at 40 and 50, and returns Fervor after an Elation Skill. This extends E1’s loop; it does not remove its team and timing requirements.

E6

After two Elation Skills, subsequent ones become enhanced. Enhanced uses outside the Aha Instant stop consuming Fervor. The trigger is Elation Skills, not two Ultimates.

Teams

Ashveil

Follow-up attacker. His Bait target enables repeated attacks and DEF reduction; those attacks supply Fervor. His extra follow-up CRIT DMG applies to Waveflair’s Elation Skill only when Waveflair is the team’s sole Elation character. Retargeting Bait can cost Skill Points.

Mortenax Blade

Debuffer and follow-up attacker. While his Zone is active, ally attacks generate Charge and reapply Balefire Bind; his extra Skills feed Fervor in return. Those Skills consume HP rather than Skill Points, so preserve a reliable healing slot.

Tribbie

Amplifier. Her RES PEN and enemy damage-taken Zone are not restricted to a damage stat. Other allies’ Ultimates trigger her follow-ups, once per ally before her own Ultimate resets the limit. Those attacks feed Fervor; Waveflair’s attacks help refill her Energy.

Yao Guang

Elation support. Her Ultimate creates an extra Aha turn, and her Zone grants Elation. This activates Waveflair’s multi-Elation branch rather than his solo follow-up branch. Her Skill Point recovery occurs after her Elation Skill, so account for its timing.
