Ashveil marks an enemy as Bait and turns allied attacks against it into Lightning follow-up damage. His DEF reduction and team CRIT DMG help another attacker, while Charge and Gluttony let him build toward an enhanced follow-up of his own.
Follow-up damage dealer and offensive support
Keep Bait on the enemy your allies are attacking. Use his Ultimate to refill Charge and spend stored Gluttony, then continue the attack sequence.
Bait lowers every enemy's DEF while it remains on the field.
First Fang adds team CRIT DMG, with a further bonus for follow-up attacks.
Attacks that miss Bait do not trigger his Talent.
A team with few allied attacks leaves him waiting for Energy; extra damage instances are not automatically separate attacks.
Use Technique and attack a Dazed enemy for its opening Charge. Check the initial Bait target; use Skill to move it when necessary. Direct allied attacks into Bait to trigger follow-ups and gain Gluttony. Use Ultimate for the enhanced follow-up and three Charge, then repeat as the target and encounter change.
Using Skill on the existing Bait refunds its Skill Point, but still requires a point to activate. Moving Bait with Skill spends that point without the refund.
Balance spending Gluttony with refreshing Charge. Holding a full Ultimate while Charge is empty can delay the next sequence of ally-triggered follow-ups.
If no Bait remains, the enemy with the lowest HP becomes Bait. The Skill and Ultimate can deliberately select another target.
The Talent restores 8 fixed Energy after another ally attacks Bait. Energy Regeneration Rate does not multiply that fixed amount.
The enhanced follow-up does not spend Charge. It consumes Gluttony in groups of four for extra damage instances and can continue on a new Bait after a kill.
Do not treat each hit of a multi-hit attack as a separate Talent trigger.
Do not spread single-target attacks away from Bait while expecting them to fuel Ashveil.
Do not assume an Energy Regeneration Rate rope speeds up every part of his Energy income.
His signature gives CRIT Rate and adds ATK and enemy damage vulnerability through Umbra Devourer. That three-turn effect starts at battle entry and refreshes every four follow-ups; track its duration if attacks are interrupted.
An owned option for a follow-up team. His follow-ups apply Tame, helping allies deal CRIT damage to those targets as well as improving his own follow-up damage.
The Herta Store option supplies CRIT Rate. Its extra CRIT Rate requires a target at half HP or below, and its ATK buff requires Ashveil to secure a kill; neither condition is permanent.
The two-piece bonus strengthens follow-ups. The four-piece ATK stacks build as a follow-up deals damage, making his enhanced multi-hit sequence a useful fit. Its ATK stacks reset at the next follow-up.
An alternative for a debuff-heavy team. Count the debuffs actually on the target for its CRIT bonuses, and track the one-turn increase after Ashveil applies a debuff.
A support-oriented option: his follow-up activates ATK, while an enemy defeat unlocks a team CRIT DMG bonus. The team bonus does not stack with another copy.
An alternative when prioritizing Ashveil's own damage. Allied follow-ups build Merit, which adds follow-up damage and grants CRIT DMG at five stacks; allow for the opening ramp-up.
Account for Light Cone and team CRIT Rate before choosing the body.
Use when the rest of the build already supplies sufficient in-combat CRIT Rate.
For personal damage when the team supplies sufficient attacks and action support.
For extra own turns or a deliberately tuned action-advance rotation; do not apply one SPD target to every team.
Only with a tested Energy plan; the Talent's fixed 8 Energy is not increased.
Balance CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG against his team buffs, then improve ATK. SPD takes priority when it is needed for the chosen rotation; do not discard a working action order for this default damage order.
E0 retains Bait, team CRIT DMG and the complete Charge/Gluttony loop. E1 adds team amplification; E2 focuses on his enhanced follow-up. Choose the upgrade for the team you intend to play rather than treating E2 as mandatory.
The Finale of a Lie adds both personal stats and team vulnerability. Compare it with E1 in the actual team; an already-owned compatible cone remains usable, and no universal pull order is asserted here.
Adds enemy damage vulnerability while Ashveil is on the field, improving the team rather than only his own attacks. Its gain depends on the other vulnerability effects already present.
Raises the Gluttony cap and refunds part of the Gluttony removed by the enhanced follow-up. Consider this for more damage in that sequence; it does not directly add Charge or a new Talent trigger.
Adds All-Type RES reduction while Bait exists and a stacking personal damage increase from gained Gluttony. This is a high-investment upgrade, not a requirement for the basic team role.
Damage partner. Ashveil's attacks feed Fervor. His extra follow-up CRIT DMG applies to Waveflair's Elation Skill only when Waveflair is the sole Elation character; keep enough Skill Points for Waveflair's repeated Skills.
Debuffer and additional attacker. Ashveil's attacks build Charge during Mortenax's Zone; Mortenax's extra Skills can hit Bait in return. Those Skills spend HP, so this pairing needs reliable healing, not only a shield.
Follow-up damage partner. Feixiao's Skill and follow-up can hit Bait, while Ashveil's attacks build her Flying Aureus. Her Ultimate also counts as follow-up damage for his CRIT DMG bonus.
Amplifier with attacks of her own. Ashveil benefits from RES PEN and the Zone's damage vulnerability. His Ultimate can trigger her follow-up once before her own Ultimate resets that limit.
Shield sustain for an ATK-based core. Making Ashveil the Bondmate adds ATK; his attacks advance Souldragon and restore Dan Heng's Energy. Only the enhanced Souldragon attacks, so its Ultimate state matters.
Use with another frequent attacker, such as Feixiao. Concerto supplies ATK and advances allies, but Robin cannot act during it; her Additional DMG is not another attack feeding Bait. Avoid leaving Ashveil as the only reliable attacker.
Shield sustain for a follow-up core. Follow-ups from allies with Fortified Wager build Blind Bet within Bingo!'s per-turn limit. His bouncing follow-up can hit Bait, but is not guaranteed to hit the chosen enemy in a large field.
Single-target follow-up option. Keep Proof of Debt and Bait on the same enemy so Numby's attacks trigger Ashveil. Ashveil's follow-ups can advance Numby outside Numby's own turn. Compare this extra attacker with the amplifier the team would otherwise use.
Basic ATK
Deals Lightning DMG equal to 100% of Ashveil's ATK to one designated enemy.
Skill
Makes one designated enemy become the "Bait," dealing it Lightning DMG equal to 200% of Ashveil's ATK. If the target is already the "Bait," additionally deals it Lightning DMG equal to 100% of Ashveil's ATK, and recovers 1 Skill Point(s). When the "Bait" exists on the field, all enemies' DEF gets reduced by 40%.
When there is no "Bait" on the field, Ashveil immediately makes the enemy target with the lowest HP on the field become the "Bait." The "Bait" state only takes effect on the most recently applied target.
Ultimate
Makes one designated enemy become the "Bait," dealing it Lightning DMG equal to 400% of Ashveil's ATK. Then, immediately launches 1 instance of enhanced Talent's Follow-Up ATK against the "Bait." And Ashveil gains 3 Charge.
This enhanced Talent's Follow-Up ATK does not consume Charge. Whenever "Gluttony" reaches 4 stack(s) or more, consumes 4 stack(s) of "Gluttony" to additionally deal 1 instance of Lightning DMG equal to 200% of Ashveil's ATK. And when this instance of Follow-Up ATK deals a killing blow to the target, it will continue to deal DMG to a new "Bait." This triggers until "Gluttony" becomes lower than 4 stack(s). If all enemy targets currently on the field have been dealt killing blows, the enhanced Talent's Follow-Up ATK will immediately end.
Talent
Ashveil has an initial Charge of 2 and can hold up to a max of 3. After the "Bait" gets attacked by other ally targets, Ashveil regenerates a fixed amount of 8 Energy, then consumes 1 Charge to launch Follow-Up ATK against the "Bait," dealing Lightning DMG equal to 200% of Ashveil's ATK. Afterwards, gains 2 stack(s) of "Gluttony," which can stack up to 12.
Technique
After using Technique, inflicts Daze on enemies within a set area for 10 second(s). Dazed enemies will not actively attack ally targets.
When entering combat via actively attacking a Dazed enemy, deals Lightning DMG to all enemies equal to 100% of Ashveil's ATK, and grants Ashveil 1 Charge.
When Ashveil uses Skill/Ultimate, gains 1/2 stacks of "Gluttony." During Ashveil's Follow-Up ATK, for every 1 enemy(ies) that suffer a killing blow, Ashveil gains 1 stack(s) of "Gluttony."
DMG dealt by Ashveil's Follow-Up ATK increases by 80%. And for every 1 stack(s) of "Gluttony" in possession, DMG dealt by Follow-Up ATK additionally increases by 10%.
While Ashveil is on the field, CRIT DMG dealt by ally targets increases by 40%, and CRIT DMG dealt by ally target's Follow-Up ATK additionally increases by 80%.
While Ashveil is on the field, increases DMG taken by all enemies by 24%. When an enemy target's current HP percentage is 50% or lower, the DMG they take increases to 36%.
The max stack limit of "Gluttony" increases to 18. After each time Ashveil launches the enhanced Talent's Follow-Up ATK, refunds 35% of the removed "Gluttony" stacks.
Ultimate Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15.
Basic ATK Lv. +1, up to a maximum of Lv. 10.
When Ashveil uses Ultimate, increases ATK by 40% for 3 turn(s).
Skill Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15.
Talent Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15.
When the "Bait" exists on the field, reduces all enemies' All-Type RES by 20%. For every 1 stack of "Gluttony" Ashveil has gained, the DMG dealt increases by 4%. This effect can stack up to 30 time(s).
