Overview

Aventurine is a highly reliable Preservation sustain with strong teamwide shields, excellent Effect RES support, and natural synergy with Follow-Up Attack teams.

Role

Shielder / Sustain / Follow-Up Support

Playstyle

Use Skill when shields need refreshing, then stay mostly SP-positive with Basic ATKs. Enemy attacks and allied Follow-Ups build Blind Bet, automatically triggering Aventurine's Follow-Up.

Why It Works

His shields stack, and his Follow-Up refreshes them automatically. Because both his shielding and damage scale with DEF, investing into survivability also improves his offensive contribution.

Watch For

Aventurine performs best when enemies attack frequently or your team uses lots of Follow-Ups. Against heavy single-target focus, one ally's shield can be worn down faster than Aventurine refreshes it.

Playstyle

Combat Flow

Skill → Basic ATKs → build Blind Bet → Follow-Up → refresh shields automatically → Skill again when needed.

Key Notes

  • Aim for around 4000 DEF to maximize his major CRIT Rate trace. 134+ SPD is a strong general target.

  • 7 Blind Bet triggers his Follow-Up Attack.

  • Ultimate applies Unnerved, increasing CRIT DMG taken by the target.

  5. Effect RES

Build DEF for reliable shields first. Leverage reaches its full CRIT Rate bonus at 4,000 DEF in battle; higher DEF still improves shielding and DEF-scaling damage. Tune SPD to refresh shields and generate Skill Points, then balance CRIT using the active Leverage bonus. Do not sacrifice required shielding simply to reach a damage stat.

Eidolon Investment

E0 provides his shield and follow-up sustain loop. E1 adds an on-demand shield to Ultimate, while E2 makes Basic ATK apply a RES debuff. Those effects solve different team needs; neither is required for the original sustain role.

Inherently Unjust Destiny adds DEF, personal CRIT DMG after shielding and a chance for follow-ups to apply damage vulnerability. It combines durability with offensive support, but its base-chance debuff should not be described as unconditional against every enemy.

E1

Allies with Fortified Wager gain 20% CRIT DMG, and Ultimate grants a Fortified Wager shield equal to the Skill's shield for three turns. This adds a shield refresh without spending a Skill Point.

E2

Basic ATK reduces the target’s All-Type RES by 12% for three turns. It also gives his Basic ATK a debuff application for teams that use those triggers.

E4

When his Talent follow-up triggers, Aventurine first gains 40% DEF for two turns, and that follow-up gains three additional hits.

E6

Adds personal damage for each teammate with a shield, up to 150%. This is Aventurine’s damage increase, not a teamwide bonus.

Teams

Acheron debuff sustain

Pela and Silver Wolf supply Nihility debuffs while Aventurine shields the team and applies Unnerved, increasing CRIT DMG against his Ultimate's target.

Feixiao follow-up

Topaz and Feixiao generate frequent attacks while Robin amplifies and Aventurine sustains.
