The Herta is an elite Ice Erudition DPS built around stacking Interpretation and converting it into enormous Enhanced Skill damage. She strongly prefers having a second Erudition character to accelerate both her Energy and stack generation.
Main DPS / AoE Hypercarry
Let allies repeatedly hit multiple enemies to generate Interpretation and Energy. Build one priority target toward 42 Interpretation, then Ultimate to reorganize stacks and immediately unleash her Enhanced Skill.
Every enemy hit by allies gives The Herta Energy and Interpretation. With another Erudition character, stack generation becomes much faster and her Enhanced Skill gains dramatically stronger scaling.
Her Ultimate costs 220 Energy, so teams that attack frequently and hit multiple targets are extremely important. Try to use Enhanced Skill on the enemy carrying the highest Interpretation stacks.
Allies attack → build Interpretation + Energy → 42 stacks on priority target → Ultimate → Action Advance → Enhanced Skill → rebuild stacks → repeat.
Aim for roughly 90–100% CRIT Rate, 100–120%+ CRIT DMG, and 2500–2900+ ATK. Either base SPD, 134 SPD, or 160 SPD can work depending on teammates and action advance.
Ultimate grants Inspiration, 100% Action Advance, and unlocks Enhanced Skill.
Two Erudition characters also grant the entire team 80% CRIT DMG.
Strong Skill and Ultimate alternative without the low-speed constraint.
Excellent because her preferred teams include another Erudition unit.
Default when not using enough external or Poet CRIT Rate.
Alternative when CRIT Rate is covered.
Preferred in low-speed Poet builds.
Alternative for self-driven Scholar builds.
Default offensive sphere.
Competitive with stronger substats.
Default damage rope.
Conditional Ultimate-cadence alternative.
Choose SPD for the actual team's action order, then prioritize CRIT Rate while accounting for the double-Erudition CRIT DMG bonus. Add CRIT DMG and ATK afterward; team advances or SPD buffs can reduce the SPD needed on her own gear.
E0 has the Interpretation and Enhanced Skill loop. E1 strengthens stack conversion; E2 adds Inspiration and action advance. Neither replaces the attacks and second Erudition character that support the base kit.
Into the Unreachable Veil adds CRIT Rate and boosts Skill and Ultimate damage after her Ultimate. An Ultimate consuming at least 140 Energy also refunds a Skill Point, easing the team's Skill Point demand.
Counts extra Interpretation from the highest-stack primary or adjacent target and resets consumed stacks to 15 rather than one.
Adds Inspiration on entering combat or using Ultimate, and advances her next action by 35% after an Enhanced Skill.
Jade makes The Herta Debt Collector and activates her second-Erudition bonuses. Tribbie amplifies damage, while Lingsha heals and adds AoE attacks to build Interpretation and Energy.
Against waves the team can repeatedly Weakness Break, Himeko supplies AoE follow-ups and The Herta's second-Erudition bonuses. Robin amplifies both carries while Aventurine shields the team.
Basic ATK

Skill
Deals Ice DMG equal to 70% of The Herta's ATK to one designated enemy, and inflicts 1 stack(s) of "Interpretation." Deals Ice DMG equal to 70% of The Herta's ATK to the targets hit by this instance of Skill and their respective adjacent targets. This effect can repeat 2 times.

At the end, deals Ice DMG equal to 40% of The Herta's ATK to all enemies.
Ultimate
Rearranges the numbers of "Interpretation" stacks on all enemies, prioritizing the transfer of the higher numbers of "Interpretation" stacks to Elite-level targets and above. Then, deals Ice DMG equal to 200% of The Herta's ATK to all enemies. When using Ultimate, increases The Herta's ATK by 80%, lasting for 3 turn(s). After the use, The Herta immediately takes action and gains 1 stack of "Inspiration." "Inspiration" can stack up to 4 time(s). While having "Inspiration," enhances Skill to "Hear Me Out."
Talent
When enemy targets enter combat, The Herta inflicts 1 stack of "Interpretation" on them. At the start of each wave, applies 25 stack(s) of "Interpretation" to a random enemy target, prioritizing Elite-level targets and above. When the Enhanced Skill's primary target has "Interpretation," the multiplier for the DMG dealt increases, with each stack granting an increase of 8.0%/4.0% on the primary target/other targets respectively. If 2 or more characters follow the Path of Erudition in the team, each stack grants an additional increase of 8.0%/4.0% on the primary target/other targets respectively. "Interpretation" can stack up to 42 time(s). When using the Enhanced Skill, resets the number of "Interpretation" stacks on the primary target to 1. After the enemy target leaves the field or gets defeated by any unit, "Interpretation" will be transferred, prioritizing the transfer to Elite-level targets and above.
Technique
After using Technique, increases The Herta's ATK by 60% at the start of the next battle, lasting for 2 turn(s).
If there are Basic Treasures in this current map, using Technique can mark up to 3 Basic Treasures' locations.
After entering battle by using Technique in Simulated Universe or Divergent Universe, at the start of each wave, deals True DMG to enemy targets lower than Elite-level by an amount equal to 99% of the targets' Max HP, and deals True DMG to enemy targets at Elite-level and above by an amount equal to 30% of the targets' Max HP.
When ally targets attack, inflicts 1 stack of "Interpretation" on the hit enemy target. After attacking, for every 1 target hit by this attack, regenerates 3 fixed Energy for The Herta, counting up to a maximum of 5 targets. When using Enhanced Skill, if the primary target's "Interpretation" stack reaches 42, increases the Ice DMG dealt by The Herta by 50%, lasting until the end of this attack.
When entering battle, if the team has 2 or more Erudition characters, increases all allies' CRIT DMG by 80%. And the Trace "Aloofly Honest" counts at least 3 target(s) when calculating the number of targets hit. After attacking, applies 1 "Interpretation" stack(s) to the target that has the highest existing "Interpretation" stacks among the hit enemy targets. If the attacker is an Erudition character, then additionally applies 2 "Interpretation" stack(s).
For every 1 stack of "Interpretation" inflicted on enemy targets, The Herta gains 1 stack of "Answer," up to a max of 99 stack(s). When using Ultimate, each "Answer" stack increases this instance of Ultimate's DMG multiplier by 1.0%.
When the Enhanced Skill calculates the number of "Interpretation" stacks, additionally counts 50% of the number of "Interpretation" stacks on the 1 target with the most stacks among the primary target and adjacent targets. When "Interpretation" is reset by using the Enhanced Skill, its stack number is reset to 15 instead.
After The Herta enters combat or uses Ultimate, additionally gains 1 "Inspiration" stack. After using Enhanced Skill, advances The Herta's next action by 35%.
