Overview

Acheron turns repeatable debuff applications into a Lightning Ultimate rather than using a conventional Energy bar. Her team must supply those triggers and maintain useful amplification. The Nihility requirement and the time needed to build Slashed Dream make partner selection central to her playstyle.

Role

Main DPS / Debuff-Driven Ultimate Carry

Playstyle

Surround Acheron with characters that apply frequent, repeatable debuffs. Build Slashed Dream rapidly, concentrate Crimson Knot on priority targets, then Ultimate once your team's DEF shred, Vulnerability, and other amplification are active.

Why It Works

Two other Nihility characters enable The Abyss's full multiplier at E0–E1. Debuffing supports can contribute both that requirement and Slashed Dream generation; their specific triggers, Skill Point costs and uptime still matter.

Watch For

At E0–E1, try to maintain 2 Nihility teammates. At E2, she only needs one, making supports like Sunday, Sparkle, or Tribbie much more attractive.

Playstyle

Combat Flow

Apply debuffs → build Slashed Dream → stack Crimson Knot → activate team amplification → Ultimate → consume Knots → rebuild stacks → repeat.

Key Notes

  • Balance CRIT using active set and Eidolon bonuses, then ATK. Use SPD only for a turn plan that improves her own contribution; the team can generate Slashed Dream outside her turns.

  • Acheron's Talent gains at most one Slashed Dream from debuffs applied within one ability use. Several debuffs in the same action are not several Talent stacks.

  • At E2, the team needs one fewer Nihility character for The Abyss. This changes a team slot, not the requirement to generate Slashed Dream.

  • Do not count an ally attack as a stack unless it actually applies a debuff.

  • Do not treat Energy recovery as Slashed Dream recovery.

  • During Ultimate, prioritize Crimson Knot consumption rather than treating every target choice as equivalent.

Light Cones

Alternative

Boundless Choreo

CRIT and damage against slowed or DEF-reduced enemies.

Relics

Primary

Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters

Debuff-based damage and CRIT set; maintain at least three debuffs and let Acheron apply a debuff to double its four-piece CRIT bonuses for one turn.

Main Stats

Body

  • CRIT Rate
  • AlternativeCRIT DMG

Use CRIT Rate when the build needs consistency.

Use CRIT DMG when CRIT Rate is already secured.

Feet

  • ATK%

Damage-focused option when speed tuning is already covered.

Sphere

  • Lightning DMG Boost
  • AlternativeATK%

Default lightning damage sphere.

Competitive alternative with stronger substats.

Rope

  • ATK%

Default offensive rope.

Recommended Substats

  1. CRIT Rate
  2. CRIT DMG
  3. ATK%
  4. SPD

Balance CRIT after counting active set bonuses and E1 if owned, then improve ATK. Choose SPD only for a specific turn plan; debuffing teammates also generate Slashed Dream, so more personal turns are not automatically the best use of every substat.

Eidolon Investment

E0 supports the complete Slashed Dream loop with two other Nihility characters. E2 changes team-building freedom and adds a stack at the start of her turn; it is a functional breakpoint, not a requirement to use Acheron.

Along the Passing Shore adds Mirage Fizzle when she hits an enemy. This gives her own attacks a debuff trigger for Slashed Dream as well as damage bonuses. Damage-only alternatives preserve the kit but do not supply that extra debuff.

E1

Adds 18% CRIT Rate against debuffed enemies. Count it in the build instead of exceeding the useful CRIT Rate cap.

E2

Reduces The Abyss requirement by one Nihility teammate and adds Slashed Dream and Crimson Knot at the start of her turn. The freed team slot still needs a partner who improves the actual rotation.

E4

Enemies entering combat take 8% more Ultimate damage. This does not itself make every attack Ultimate damage.

E6

Adds Ultimate All-Type RES PEN and treats Basic ATK and Skill damage as Ultimate damage. Those attacks can also reduce Toughness regardless of Weakness Type.

Teams

Mortenax Blade

Nihility amplifier and debuff source. While his Zone is active, allied attacks reapply Balefire Bind, and enemies attacking him can also receive it. The Zone provides DEF reduction, damage vulnerability and an Ultimate bonus when another Nihility character is present. His HP-consuming Skills require a healing plan.

Jiaoqiu

Nihility debuffer. Ashen Roast amplifies damage, and his Zone adds Ultimate vulnerability plus debuff attempts on enemy turns. Those attempts have a finite trigger allowance that resets on Ultimate. Keep his Energy and Effect Hit Rate reliable instead of assuming unlimited stacks from a single Zone.

Pela

Accessible Nihility alternative. Pela applies teamwide DEF reduction through Ultimate while Basic ATKs can generate Skill Points. A Basic does not inherently apply a debuff: extra Acheron stacks depend on a compatible cone, a Break or another actual debuff trigger.

Aventurine

Shield sustain. Aventurine's Ultimate applies Unnerved while shields protect the team. With Inherently Unjust Destiny, his follow-up hits attempt a damage-taken debuff; E2 Basic ATKs add a separate RES debuff. Ordinary unmodified follow-ups are not automatic Acheron stack generators.

Sunday
Situational

Conditional E2 support slot. Sunday can replace the second Nihility teammate once E2 lowers The Abyss requirement. His action advance gives Acheron more turns, but his Energy restoration does not directly fill Slashed Dream. Budget Skill Points and do not remove the sole remaining Nihility partner.
