Start with the action
Every skill starts with a condition: a button press or hold, enough Energy, a Perfect Dodge, or an earlier action in a combo. Learn when the move becomes available first. Its damage and Daze values are useful once you know how to reach it.
For Anby, the third Basic Attack opens several follow-ups. Hold or pause to use Thunderbolt, or follow with her Special or EX Special for a faster transition. Her Basic sequence starts with Physical hits and ends with Electric damage, so the named action matters as much as the attack family.

Understand the values
Next, separate what the move does from how strongly it scales. Damage and Daze have different values; Energy cost tells you what you need to spend, while duration tells you how long an effect lasts. Use the same skill level when comparing attacks.
Anby’s EX Special costs 60 Energy, with separate damage and Daze values. That cost belongs to the EX action, not her ordinary Special. A damage multiplier is also not the final hit number: stats, active effects and the enemy still affect the result.
Connect the move to the rest of the kit
Finally, check the Core Passive, Additional Ability and Mindscapes for effects that modify the move. Look for the trigger, which attacks benefit, and how long the bonus lasts.
Anby’s Core Passive adds Daze to specific follow-ups after her third Basic Attack. To understand that bonus, select the Core enhancement level you use, then check whether your squad also activates her Additional Ability.
