Separate a piece’s stats from its set effect
Each Drive Disc contributes its own main stat and substats. Matching pieces also activate set bonuses, with separate two-piece and four-piece thresholds.
Four pieces of one set activate both bonuses. The remaining two slots can form another pair for its two-piece effect, letting you combine a main set with a complementary stat or benefit.

Read the action, recipient and duration
Swing Jazz gives 20% Energy Regen at two pieces. Its four-piece bonus increases squad damage after a Chain Attack or Ultimate for 12 seconds, and repeated copies of the same effect do not stack.
Shockstar Disco gives 6% Impact at two pieces. Four pieces add 20% Daze to Basic Attacks, Dash Attacks and Dodge Counters against the main target—not to EX Specials or every enemy hit.

Balance the set effect and piece stats
Choose a set whose effect supports the actions or resources your Agent needs, then compare the stats on the actual pieces. A useful set bonus and suitable main stats and substats are separate parts of a build.
When swapping sets, check which bonuses you gain or lose alongside the stat changes. Pay particular attention to a four-piece trigger you may no longer be able to maintain during your usual sequence.
