Objective: secure the Royal access gate
Reach Councillor rank 9 with Takuto Maruki by November 17. Rank 10 follows automatically on November 18 when that condition is met. November 18 is not an extra day to arrange the missing rank-9 meeting.
Maruki is the Confidant requirement for opening the third semester. Akechi and Yoshizawa add relationship content, but they are not substitutes for Maruki and are not additional Confidant requirements for access. Continue through the main story without choosing an early ending.
Prepare the meetings
Maruki is introduced through the school story in May. When free meetings become available, look for him in Shujin’s practice building during the daytime. Carry a Councillor Persona for affinity gains and check whether the bond is ready to deepen.
Rank 6 is time-gated until September 20. Reaching rank 5 earlier is useful preparation; the temporary stop does not mean the route has failed. School closures and story days still restrict meetings, so consult the current map rather than relying only on the recurring weekday label.
Recommended progression, not a fixed calendar
Work toward rank 5 before the September gate, then resume when further ranks open. Keep several daytime opportunities available in the autumn instead of expecting to complete every missing rank on the final date.
Before advancing past November 17, open the Confidant menu and confirm Councillor rank 9. Keep a manual save from before the cutoff. If the automatic rank 10 has not happened because rank 9 was missing, later meetings with the other two Confidants cannot repair that save’s access gate.
Optional relationship preparation
For additional relationship progression, work toward Justice rank 8 by November 17 and Faith rank 5 by December 22. These goals are optional for semester access. They do not guarantee every optional scene; individual later dialogue choices are outside this spoiler-light checklist.
After securing the access requirement, continue the main story and complete its required objectives. This page deliberately stops before naming the later Palace or describing the ending. Use the linked Confidant reference for a particular rank gate, and the calendar guide for planning the surrounding free time.
