Skill Inheritance

Carry a useful skill into the result without confusing learnsets, inheritance types and Royal Traits.

Carry the skill through every step

A recipe that reaches the right Persona can still fail your build if the required skill is lost along the way. Before each fusion, check both the result and the list of skills you can select. For a longer chain, register useful intermediate Personas after they have the skill you need.

A Persona’s inheritance type limits what it can receive through fusion. Unique skills also have restrictions. Do not interpret a skill appearing somewhere in the ingredient stock as proof that every possible result can inherit it.

Distinguish learnsets, cards and Traits

A skill learned by leveling belongs to that Persona’s learnset. A Skill Card teaches its named skill directly when usable. Fusion inheritance transfers eligible skills from ingredients. These are different routes to a build, and the cheapest route depends on what you already own.

Royal also has Traits, which are separate from the regular skill slots. Read their effects instead of treating them as another elemental attack. A Trait that supports the intended job can be more useful than an unrelated passive chosen merely because its description sounds powerful.

Verify the finished build

For Strength assignments, open the completed Persona and confirm the exact required skill is currently in its skill list. A future learnset entry is not enough. Likewise, a stronger skill with a similar name is not a substitute for the one requested.

Keep the requested skill until the twins acknowledge the assignment. Afterward, register the completed version if you want a reusable hand-in or build component. Use the Strength walkthrough for the Royal target list, not an original Persona 5 recipe list.
