Read the five Persona stats
Joker uses the stats of his equipped Persona. A higher-level Persona is not automatically better for every job: its skill list, elemental coverage and defensive matchups can matter more than a small level difference. Look at those together before spending money on a fusion.

Affinities are a defensive plan
The affinity row distinguishes weakness, resistance, nullification, repel and drain. Repel sends an eligible attack back; drain restores HP instead of dealing its normal damage. Neither is simply a stronger form of resistance.
Joker’s current Persona determines the affinities he exposes. If you switch to cover an enemy weakness, check what you will be wearing when the enemy acts. A useful attack can still be a poor choice if it leaves Joker vulnerable to a dangerous counterattack.
Separate current skills from future skills
A learnset records skills a Persona gains at particular levels. The skill you want may not be present immediately after recruitment. Fusion experience from Arcana Burst can help reach a learning threshold, but the preview is the place to confirm the actual outcome.
Use the Persona directory for affinities and learnsets, then the calculator for recipes. Skill names inside those records are references, not links to a separate Skills product. AstraVoy does not currently expose a Royal Skills directory.
