Use the block boundaries
Tartarus progresses through blocks with story-based access. The reference shows each recorded block’s floors and encounters. A floor number is a destination, not a guarantee that the next section is already open on your current date.
Plan rescues around deadlines
Missing people have their own rescue windows. Check the missing-person table before deciding that you are done exploring for the current period. Delaying a rescue beyond its deadline can have consequences outside the dungeon.
Prepare for more than the next fight
Bring damage coverage, recovery and the resources needed for the encounters ahead. Check fixed-floor enemies and your party’s current weaknesses when choosing equipment. Theurgy can provide another option when ordinary skills are not enough.
