Overview

Dr. Ratio turns debuffed targets into reliable single-target follow-up opportunities.

Role

Imaginary follow-up damage dealer with a debuff requirement.

Playstyle

Prepare debuffs before his Skill and focus allied attacks on his Ultimate's marked target.

Why It Works

His Skill follow-up starts at a 40% fixed chance, increasing by 20% for each debuff. Three active debuffs reach 100%.

Watch For

A new target may lack the team's debuffs. His own Inference has a base chance and can be resisted.

Playstyle

Combat Flow

Apply the team's debuffs to the priority enemy before Ratio uses Skill. Use Ultimate on a target that will survive long enough for teammates to trigger its two follow-ups. Keep checking debuffs when enemies change or effects expire.

Key Notes

  • Summation gains CRIT stacks through Skills against debuffed enemies; include those stacks when judging his CRIT Rate.

  • Inference can reduce the Skill target's Effect RES for two turns, but a 100% base chance is not a guaranteed application.

  • Deduction begins at three debuffs and reaches its maximum damage increase at five.

  • Do not rely on an expired, resisted or not-yet-applied effect to complete the three-debuff requirement.

  • An enemy dying early can waste the remaining Wiseman's Folly triggers.

Build & Investment

Light Cones

Primary

Baptism of Pure Thought

Debuffs increase its CRIT DMG bonus, up to three. Attacking with Ultimate grants two turns of damage increase and follow-up DEF ignore.

Alternative

Cruising in the Stellar Sea

Provides CRIT Rate with an additional bonus against targets at half HP or lower. The ATK effect needs Ratio to land a kill.

Alternative

Worrisome, Blissful

Follow-ups apply Tame while gaining CRIT Rate and follow-up damage. Its enemy effect can help the team's debuff coverage.

Relics

Primary

Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters

Maintain three debuffs for its larger CRIT DMG bonus. Ratio must successfully apply a debuff for the one-turn doubling of its CRIT effects.

Alternative

Wastelander of Banditry Desert

Debuffed enemies enable extra CRIT Rate, while the CRIT DMG bonus specifically needs Imprisonment. Do not assume every debuff supplies both.

Planars

Alternative

Inert Salsotto

Reach 50% in-combat CRIT Rate for the Ultimate and follow-up damage bonus.

  4. ATK%

Meet the planned turn order, then balance CRIT with Summation and other in-combat bonuses included. Put remaining offensive rolls into ATK.

Eidolon Investment

E0 provides the full Skill and Ultimate follow-up loop. Establish debuff uptime and a workable team before considering extra copies.

Baptism of Pure Thought reinforces his debuff and follow-up plan. Its temporary post-Ultimate effect needs an actual Ultimate attack; it does not create debuffs for him.

E1

With Summation unlocked, starts battle with four stacks and raises its stack limit by four. Account for the extra CRIT Rate before allocating relic stats.

E2

Talent follow-ups deal additional Imaginary damage per target debuff, up to four instances per follow-up.

E4

Triggering the Talent restores an additional 15 Energy, improving Ultimate recovery.

E6

Adds one Wiseman's Folly trigger and increases Talent follow-up damage by 50%.

Teams

Topaz & Numby

Proof of Debt increases follow-up damage and Ratio's follow-ups advance Numby. Topaz at E0 without Tame supplies only one of the required debuffs; check the rest of the team's active effects.

Moze

Moze marks the same priority enemy and amplifies follow-up damage through Vengewise. Ratio's attacks consume Moze's Charge. Account for three active debuffs at the follow-up check; Ratio's Inference can supply one if it lands.

Pela

Pela's Ultimate supplies DEF reduction. Resolution or E4 Skill can provide another effect under their own conditions; reserve Skill Points for Ratio.

Robin

Robin amplifies the attacking team and adds damage during Concerto. Use her after the remaining slots cover debuffs and sustain.
