Epic Seven launches on Steam alongside new Foundry server

Smilegate’s turn-based RPG arrived on Steam on October 29, 2026, with a new server accessible from Steam, Stove and mobile. Foundry offers temporarily separate PvP matchmaking and newcomer rewards, while a limited-time detective story runs through December 10.

Epic Seven launched on Steam on October 29, 2026, and Smilegate opened a new server, Foundry, alongside it. Although the release brings the turn-based RPG to another PC storefront, Foundry is not exclusive to Steam: players can also access it through the Stove PC client or on mobile. For newcomers, the more consequential change may be Foundry’s temporarily separate PvP matchmaking, designed to give them a different starting environment from established players.

What Foundry offers new players

Foundry will operate with separate matchmaking for player-versus-player content for a limited period. Smilegate has not specified in the available announcement how long that separation will last or what happens to matchmaking afterward. Players choosing a server for its PvP environment should keep that temporary status in mind.

A newcomer support event began on October 29. It offers boosts to hero and account progression, daily free hero summons, and rewards for logging in or playing content, including equipment, growth materials and hero skins. The announcement does not give a full reward schedule or an end date for these Foundry incentives.

The Steam release also adds controller controls described as a feature specific to the Steam version. That distinction matters because Foundry can be accessed on all three listed platforms; the new server and the Steam-specific controls are separate parts of the launch. Smilegate said an earlier Steam wishlist event, which began in August, drew more than 100,000 participants. That figure describes participation in the promotional event, not the number of people playing on Steam.

A limited-time story runs alongside the launch

Players also have a separate event to tackle: the Secret Rabbit Hole side story runs from October 29 through December 10. It follows bunny detective Moro and assistant Alencia as they investigate a threat discovered during a victory party. Progressing through the story awards three pieces of level 88 equipment.

The event also offers a special pet for collecting all three new bunny characters and both skins. The accompanying Alencia’s Case Notes and Lucky Board Party events provide additional rewards, including enhancement stones and emoticons. Those collection requirements are distinct from the level 88 equipment awarded through story progression.
