Zenless Zone Zero reveals Sunbringer’s three-part combat in new Version 3.4 footage

HoYoverse released a Sunbringer combat video on October 24, showing Drakina, Lindverne and Elda taking turns with a shield, sword and spear. The Season 3 character is set to become playable in Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.4, alongside a Honkai: Star Rail crossover featuring Robin and Kafka; a release date for the update was not provided.

HoYoverse has released a combat showcase for Sunbringer, an upcoming playable character in Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.4. The October 24 footage puts the character’s three-part fighting style on display: Drakina, Lindverne and Elda take turns entering combat rather than relying on a single weapon or fighting stance.

Drakina fights with a shield, Lindverne with a sword and Elda with a spear. The video shows each appearing at different moments during the encounter, offering a closer look at how the trio fights together. It does not, on its own, establish the full rules governing their switches or abilities.

Sunbringer has been central to the game’s ongoing Season 3 story. Previously spoken of as one of its legendary original Void Hunters, the character’s secrets have come to light during the season; Version 3.4 will make Sunbringer playable. The Japanese voice role is performed by Sayaka Ohara.

The showcase also includes a brief appearance by Robin, who is due to arrive through Zenless Zone Zero’s forthcoming Honkai: Star Rail crossover. Character introductions posted the same day identify Robin as an Ether Defense agent and Kafka as an Electric Anomaly agent. In the Japanese-language announcements, Kaori Nazuka voices Robin, Chevy provides her singing voice, and Shizuka Ito voices Kafka.

Sunbringer and the crossover are both planned for Version 3.4. No launch date for that version was specified in the supplied announcement coverage. Zenless Zone Zero is currently free to play on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and mobile devices.
